Marcel Wibault Museum

in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc

Just a short distance from the centre of Chamonix is this delightful chalet, the “Alpenrose”, once the studio and home of Chamonix-based artist Marcel Wibault, who spent his whole life painting his favourite subject, the mountains.

He left a vast body of work and visitors will be won over by the beauty of this authentic chalet which is now a museum. The interior is warm and inviting, and was painted, sculpted and engraved by the artist himself. The paintings on show are now much sought-after and collected.

New exhibition themes every year.
