Mont-Blanc Museum
After five years of renovation work, the former ‘Alpine Museum’, which celebrates its 100th anniversary this year, reopens its doors under a new name. Welcome to the new ‘Mont Blanc Museum’ and its 1,800 m² of exhibition space
Enlarged and modernised, the new museum invites you on an exhibition journey exploring the relationship between humans and mountains in the Mont Blanc region. Stories related to the mountains, sporting achievements, artists' perspectives and changes to the landscape linked to global warming... The scenography has been designed in an attractive and contemporary style to make the 17,000 exhibits accessible to young and old alike, from mountain enthusiasts to families, from French speakers to an international audience. The Mont Blanc Museum is a place to understand, feel and take action.
