2024-25 ski area expected opening dates
The Grand-Montets area, with its excellent snow coverage and northern exposure, is a mecca for freeride and steep slope enthusiasts.
The Brévent and Flégère areas are bathed in sunlight and offer playful skiing with a view of the roof of Europe, at the foot of the Aiguilles Rouges. From Planpraz, take off for a tandem paragliding flight. And for speed fans, head to the Chavanne track and get your time recorded!
The next day, compare your time on the slalom course of the Balme-Vallorcine area. The slopes here are gentler, ideal for all levels of skiing and snowshoeing and ski touring. The same goes for Les Houches, on the other side of the valley, which welcomes skiing and hiking families.
Beginners and children can perfect their skiing on one of the lower altitude areas offered by the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Valley. And why not swap skis for a sled!
To vary the pleasures, let yourself be tempted by other winter activities such as Nordic skiing, ice skating or ice climbing.
What do all the ski areas of the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Valley have in common? A magnificent panorama of the Mont-Blanc massif, the Aiguilles Rouges, the glaciers, and the valley.
