Road conditions

From November 1st 2024 to March 31th 2025, light vehicles, commercial vehicles and motor homes must:

  • either be equipped with metal or textile snow chains in the boot, allowing at least two driving wheels to be fitted
  • or be equipped with four winter tyres.

Attention: during the summer season, access to the tunnel is very busy. Remember to check the traffic forecasts on the official Mont-Blanc Tunnel website to best plan your passage!
