The Bossons glacier chair lift
In CHAMONIX, the Mont-Blanc glacier within your reach...
The Glacier des Bossons chalet is a 2-minute walk from the chairlift arrival point. From its terrace, the view of the terminal tongue of the glacier and the seracs of the Plateau des Pyramides is fabulous.
An exhibition in the form of a thematic trail tells the fascinating story of the glacier. Each panel along the trail presents a particular theme: the life of the glacier, the Little Ice Age, the evolution of the glacier...
The chalet is the starting point for the Pyramids hike, with views of the glacier's waterfall, seracs and ice pyramids.
From here, it's on to the famous Jonction hike, which takes you to the gateway to the high mountains, at 2589m. La Jonction, the last rocky spur before the kingdom of ice. Magnificent views of the Bossons and Taconnaz glaciers. This route was used by J. Balmat and Dr. Paccard on their first ascent of Mont Blanc in 1786.
