
The Bossons glacier chair lift
From the top of the Bossons village, this delightful chairlift will tranport you over meadows and alpine chalets to an altitude of 1425m, where you can enjoy excpetional views of the Bossons glacier.
The Glacier des Bossons chalet is located 5 minutes walk from the arrival of the chairlift. From its terrace, the view on the terminal tongue of the glacier and the seracs of the Plateau des Pyramides is fabulous.
An exhibition in the form of a thematic trail tells the fascinating story of the glacier. Each panel along the trail presents a particular theme: the life of the glacier, the Little Ice Age, the evolution of the glacier...
The chalet is the starting point for the hike to the Chalet des Pyramides, with a view of the glacier's fall, the seracs and the ice pyramids.
From there, departure of the famous hike of the Jonction, which leads you to the doors of the high mountain, at 2589m. La Jonction, the last rocky spur before the kingdom of the ice. Grandiose views of the Bossons and Taconnaz glaciers. This itinerary was used by J. Balmat and Doctor Paccard during the first ascent of Mont Blanc in 1786.
To eat, the chalets of the Glacier des Bossons and the Pyramides offer you a typical cuisine in a unique setting.
