The Grand-Montets ski area, with its reliable snowfall and north-facing slopes, is a mecca for freeride enthusiasts and lovers of steep slopes. 
The Brévent and Flégère ski areas are bathed in sunshine and offer playful skiing with views of the “Roof of Europe,” at the foot of the Aiguilles Rouges. From Planpraz, take to the skies on a tandem paragliding flight. And for speed enthusiasts, head to the Chavanne run and time your run!

The next day, compare your time on the slalom course in the Balme-Vallorcine ski area. The slopes here are gentler, ideal for all skill levels and for snowshoeing and ski touring. The same goes for Les Houches, on the other side of the valley, which welcomes families of skiers and hikers.

Beginners and children can perfect their pole planting technique at one of the lower-altitude ski areas in the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc Valley.
