Discover two routes that have made Chamonix famous: the mythical "Rébuffat" route on the Aiguille du Midi and the Piola "Nabot Léon" route on the Aiguille de Blaitière.
Day 1: Voie Rébuffat (200m, 6a)- South face of Aiguille du Midi (3,842m)
Meeting point in Chamonix. Take the cable car up to Aiguille du Midi. Descend the ridge (20') and start climbing. This route has everything a high-mountain climb has to offer: majestic setting, colorful granite and varied climbing: a MUST! Short abseil, cable car descent to Plan de l'Aiguille. Overnight at the Plan de l'Aiguille refuge (2207m).
Day 2: Voie Piola "Nabot Léon" (250m, 6a)- Pilier Rouge de Blaitière (3,170m)
Morning departure for the west face of the Aiguille de Blaitière (1h30). Once again, a magnificent and varied route: one of the many masterpieces of talented Swiss opener Michel Piola. Abseil back to Plan de l'Aiguille and take the cable car down to Chamonix.
