Inspired cuisine!
When it comes to dining, the Chamonix Valley stays true to Savoyard tradition with rustic fare featuring potatoes, cheese, and charcuterie.
You’ll enjoy delicious Savoyard gratins, fondues, raclettes, croûtes, tartiflettes, and other reblochonnades. Not to mention the famous farçon: a specialty made with grated potatoes, bacon, prunes, currants, cream, and eggs.
But here again, tourism has allowed the valley to enjoy a very diverse culinary scene. As a result, you can discover dishes from around the world (Italian, Chinese, Japanese, Indian, Mexican, and more), as well as inventive restaurants that successfully blend local tradition with culinary influences from abroad.
