Further information
Dogs are not permitted as the path is in the Nature Reserve Les Aiguilles Rouges. In the heart of the Aiguilles Rouges nature reserve, the Lac Blanc circuit from the top of the Flégère cable car has a view of Mont Blanc.
From Chamonix Mont-Blanc follow the direction of Martigny on the road to Les Praz.
The departure at Les Praz de Chamonix. Park on the parking lot of the Flégère cable car. It is preferable to take the Flégère cable car which saves us 800m of climb without much interest.
From the top of the gondola station, go down into the Combe de la Chavanne. Near the old stables, on the left, follow the trail that winds up the slope and passes near the Chalets et Lac de la Flégère (2 027m).
Take the path under the Tête du Aubuy: it stretches, follows a ridge (small lake) and joins the one coming from Argentière. The Lac Blanc is reached by the side of a combe that flattens out. Count 1h45 one way
Suggestion: go down to the very pretty Chalets and Lacs des Cheserys.
