François, a future academician, is a famous writer. With a wife who's a surgeon and a circle of high-profile friends, his life would be a perfect bliss if he didn't suffer from a terrible backache that plagues his existence. When François, by the merest chance, meets the incredible Martha with the healing hands, his back pain subsides. He becomes addicted to Martha's hands, which soothe him more than any painkiller. A surprising friendship develops between these two characters, with the opportunity to finally seize the best that life has to offer.
