Transhumance Festival

Transhumance of around 800 goats and sheep from Le Tour / Argentière / Alpage de la Flégère. Local craftsmen and producers market with music! Parking des Grands-Montets > 5-minute walk from Argentière village center. ! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

To celebrate the mountain pastures and the herds, the SEA is organizing the Fête de la transhumance with the Communauté de Communes Vallée de Chamonix Mont-Blanc, the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc and the Maison de Village d'Argentière.
Program:
"10 a.m. - 4 p.m.: transhumance market in the village square and around the Maison de Village d'Argentière: local craftsmen and producers (food and manufactured goods), refreshment stand to benefit young athletes from the Argentière Nordic ski association, background music by Pascal Popelier.
"10am: departure of the Tour herd to Argentière
"11am: herd arrives at the Maison de Village d'Argentière
"15h-15h30: departure of the herd to the Flégère mountain pasture.
