Aiguilles de Chamonix, des Drus and de la Verte. Refuge of the White Lake at the arrival
Departure from the Col des Montets: Behind the chalet of the nature reserve, the path climbs up in twists and turns in a valley for 400m of difference in height. It reaches the sloping plateau of La Remuaz: below on the left the monument of Jeunesse et Montagne (1943) and on the right the small lake of La Remuaz. It reaches the Tête aux Vents crossroads. Turn right. The path goes along a ridge. The 5 beautiful lakes are visible as you go up, provided you stay on the right path. From the last lake, the path rises at a passage equipped to cross large rounded rocks: it leads to a depression on the lake and the refuge.
