An ancient Celtic camp situated above the Le Chatelard road and railway tunnels.
Start from Vieux-Servoz and head towards Le Chatelard. After the Lanternes bridge, take the first path on the right which climbs the hillside of the Les Gures Massif. Once in the high grass and shrubs on the plateau, you can wander around the old camp and the remains of shelters, homes and defence structures built by the Allobroges and Ceutrons people. Look out for the Pierre du Sacrifice, the Dolmen du Laby, and the Table. You can just make out a Roman gallery near the road tunnel on its way up.
Note: Les Berges de l’Arve path runs along the right bank of the river
from the Lanternes bridge to Pont de l’Avenue bridge — a 1.5-hour walk.
