The new Mer de Glace gondola, located at the Montenvers train station, provides access to the Mer de Glace cave and facilitates the return journey from the Vallée Blanche.

Handicap
This cable car is adapted to people with reduced mobility, but due to a few steps its access is difficult. At the arrival, a nice space with windows allows to enjoy the view closer to the glacier.
The ice cave is not accessible at all, then about 200 steps are to be walked down from the arrival of the cable car until the cave.
