Paragliding takeoff from Aiguillette
Practice : paragliding Orientation : South Observations / Dangers : take off imperatively on the crest, on the Les Houches side because it borders the Carlaveyron natural reserve.
Flight conditions: flight site from late morning to late afternoon. Conditions of thermodynamic breezes and restitution.
Dangers/difficulties:
- Often delicate inflation: takeoff in slope.
Slope break quite frank generating a small roll on the flat where we spread the canopy.
- Particular aerology in the thermodynamic of the valley wind.
- The takeoff is at the limit of the roll generated by the Coupeau plateau on the right at the takeoff exit: avoid this area. Excellent performance
dynamic on the left at the takeoff exit on the west shoulder of the Merlet park.
Level: confirmed pilot to cross.
Landing: gravel pit at Cachat. Caution! Very technical landing: the gravel pit is not always free of space due to the work being done there. Proximity of the Arve torrent.
Specific regulations: avoid flying over the animal park, in order to respect the animals and to avoid conflicts with the owners.
