Presentation

The photographic exhibition "Vallée de Chamonix, la Montagne en partage" (Chamonix Valley, Sharing the Mountains) showcases several of the valley's most emblematic species, as seen through the eyes of wildlife photographer Geoffrey GARCEL.

Chamois, Alpine ibex, Alpine ptarmigan, black grouse... and so many other wild species are the emblematic guardians of the exceptional natural space of the Chamonix-Mont-Blanc valley.
From its forests to its highest peaks, the diversity of remarkable environments is home to discreet, sometimes fragile and often unsuspected wildlife. This observation obliges us, collectively, to think about its preservation so that future generations can continue to marvel at it.

The layout, created by local illustrator Flora DUCROZ, also presents the parameters to be taken into account and the best practices to be implemented during a winter outing to reduce disturbance to wildlife and reconcile the pleasure of winter sports with the preservation of biodiversity.
Together, let's help preserve wildlife.

This exhibition was produced as part of the management of the Aiguilles Rouges Natura 2000 site by the Communauté de Communes de la Vallée de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc.
