Guitare en Scène springboard 2025

For the 11th year running, the MJC de Chamonix has joined forces with the Guitare en Scène festival in Saint-Julien-en-Genevois to organize a series of springboards.

The Guitare en Scène springboard involves 12 groups participating in selections at various partner venues. The MJC will host 3 of these groups on February 8, starting at 8pm! Free admission for the public!

▪️ Birds off paradise - Rock
Authentic and without borders, BIRDS OFF PARADISE goes against the grain of standardization and genre standards: BIRDS music is all relief and color. Abrasive rhythms, sometimes heayy, always groovy, carry rich, dense vocals mingled with unbridled solos. BIRDS OFF PARADISE is a wave of raw 90s energy and freedom, providing a breath of fresh air for fans and young laymen alike.

▪️ Chey'N'Shiners - Hard'N'Roll
Dive into the explosive world of Groove N'Roll with Chey'N'Shiners! With a repertoire of energetic compositions inspired by Hard and Funk Rock, Chey'N'Shiners offer an authentic show in the most Rock'N'Roll spirit possible. The band was formed in 2019 by Cheyenne Janas, Jerem G and Hugo Groovy, and they quickly released a first single entitled "Turn Me On". That same year, Cheyenne Janas made a high-profile appearance on The Voice, reaching the show's semi-finals. In 2022, Pierre Gardet took over as drummer, his technical and creative approach breathing new life into the band's compositions.
With this new line-up, Chey'N'Shiners released the single "Last Night Was A Better Night" and the EP "Let's Get Mad" in 2024. This first official release is an opportunity to showcase the band's best work in manipulating its Rock, Blues and Heavy Metal influences. A video for the track "Kill You 'till You Die" is released for Halloween 2024.

▪️ Cosmic Chickens - Surf rock
The band plays galactic surf rock inspired by the 60's surf movement (dick dale, the ventures, the atlantics...) and mixes it with more contemporary rock.
The COSMIC CHICKENS surprise with their colorful outfits and the aesthetics of their "surf rock" music, and manage to appeal to a varied audience.
With an album due out at the end of 2024, the cosmic chickens offer their latest instrumental tracks with a supercharged tempo!
