The YCC is a challenge created for young people born between 1997 and 2005. After a prologue held in Chamonix on the Tuesday of the week of the event, the trail race will take place in Courmayeur the following day.
The YCC (Youth Chamonix Courmayeur) is a race organized in collaboration with UCPA d'Argentière and the municipality of Cour-mayeur. It is offered to young people born between 1999 and 2007 (minims, cadets, juniors and hopes) and consists of:
1. A prologue in the form of a fast race in Chamonix, place du Triangle de l'Amitié: Minimes (born in 2006 or 2007): 2 laps of 700 m. Cadets (born in 2004 or 2005): 3 loops of 700 m. Juniors (born in 2002 or 2003) and Espoirs (born 1999, 2000 or 2001): 4 laps of 700 m.
2. A trail in total autonomy, the day after the prologue, from Courmayeur: Minimes (born in 2006 or 2007): 5 km-effort * Cadets (born in 2004 or 2005): 15 km-effort * Juniors ( born in 2002 or 2003) and Espoirs (born in 1999, 2000 or 2001): 25 km-effort *.
* The kilometer-effort being the sum of the distance in kilometers and the hundredth of the positive elevation in meters. The kilometer-effort makes it possible to convert the positive elevation gain into flat equivalence.
The YCC is the perfect opportunity for the new generation of trailers to taste the magic of the UTMB®: departures under the arch of the UTMB®, animations by the speakers of the event, follow-up of the race in time real on Livetrail®, a challenge that takes place in two countries ... The YCC has nothing to envy to its elders.
