Visite des fouilles archéologiques au château de Saint-Michel
Come and discover the first results of the archaeological excavations carried out at the Château de Saint-Michel by the Haute-Savoie Department as part of the DAHU (Développement et Adaptation des Occupations Humaines en Montagne) project.
The DAHU project aims to shed light on issues relating to the relationship between man, mountains and climate. As part of this, archaeological excavations have been scheduled for July 2023 at the site of the Château de Saint-Michel in Les Houches, a place known for having been a control point for access to the mountain, and whose building has been linked to the presence then disappearance of a lake whose formation could be due to climatic changes. The information gathered during the excavation campaign will feed into an exhibition project on climate change and its cross-border implications.
