Presentation

The UTMB Mont Blanc: a trail running event around the Mont Blanc massif (8 races ranging from 15 to 170 km), crossing 3 countries and bringing together 10,000 runners of 110 nationalities every year at the end of August. Individual races, semi-autonomous

UTMB Mont-Blanc is more than just a race: it's a human adventure rooted in mountain values – respect, solidarity, humility.
Created in 2003, this event has become the world's leading trail running reference. Each year, during the last week of August, it brings together 10,000 runners from 110 nationalities across 8 races, along with 2,500 volunteers, around the Mont-Blanc massif on the official Tour du Mont-Blanc trails that cross France, Italy, and Switzerland.
These races of varying distances (from 15 to 170 km) welcome all audiences: some open to runners from around the world, others reserved for volunteers, local residents, and partners, with dedicated courses for children ages 3 to 15 and youth ages 16 to 20. The most iconic, the 170 km loop with over 10,000 meters of elevation gain, is run individually, semi-self-supported, and in a single non-stop stage with a 46.5-hour time limit – the clock never stops from start to finish.
An inclusive, transformative, and deeply emotional experience for all who live it.
