The Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture and its performance hall "La Coupole" play a major role in Chamonix's socio-cultural life.
The Maison des Jeunes et de la Culture is an association under the law of 1901, with a non profit goal and popular education, approved by the State to welcome children and young people between 4 and 17 years old.
It can allow the realization of any activity or any project of adults respecting its statutes.
It is affiliated to the Federation of MJC in Rhône Alpes which defends with it two great principles: citizenship and secularism.
Its ambition is to make children more autonomous, young people more responsible and adults more citizens.
Within the MJC, the theater la Coupole offers a rich and varied artistic and cultural menu for all tastes.
Through a musical season, it does not hesitate to play the card of eclecticism and the pleasure of giving to hear, to listen, to see, to enjoy, to share, to practice, to participate, to organize... La Coupole's action is not limited to the diffusion of professional concerts. It also acts to accompany amateur groups, for technical training, for the exchange of skills, for the meeting of the Arts, the public...
Opening hours on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 1.30 pm and 6 pm. On Monday, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday between 9 am and 12 pm.
Closed Saturday and Sunday.
Closed exceptionally on January 1st, Easter Monday, Feast of the Ascension, Whit Monday, May 1st, May 8th, July 14th, August 15th, November 1st, November 11th and December 25th.
