Exposition Maïe Fel, Glaciers sur papier japon, carnets & aquarelles, sur les pas de James David Forbes

in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
Presentation

As part of the UNESCO declaration "2025 International Year of Glacier Preservation", the Chamonix media library is hosting an exhibition by nomadic artist Maïe Fel.

Maïe Fel has created forty watercolors illustrating the account of the first Chamonix-Zermatt crossing by Scottish glaciologist James David Forbes (1749-1819) in August 1842. The story was compiled by Reine Marie Faure, a researcher at St Andrews University (Scotland), from the unpublished writings of J.D. Forbes.

The artist also explores the glaciers of the Alps through large acrylic ink drawings on Japanese paper.
