The rhetoric of hatred - Gesticulated and theatrical conference

As part of the 11th Remballe ta haine! festival organized by MJC Chamonix. Café associatif doors open at 6:30pm.

This theatrical, gesticulated lecture is built around a fictional character who embodies the various postures adopted today by polemicists and agitators who spread hate speech. The historian's contribution provides evidence of the similarities and differences with the hate speech that has followed in France since the 19th century.
The show alternates between dialogue-based role-playing, readings and projections of period documents, and popular songs sung in chorus. The audience is invited to join in and lead the debate that occupies the second half of the evening.
