La route nationale devenue rue Paccard et rue Vallot : quelle histoire !

in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
Presentation

The old national road, now called rue Joseph Vallot and rue du Dr Paccard, tells the story of Chamonix.

The central axis along which Chamonix's inhabitants settled, Chamonix's old main road takes us into the town's ancient and recent history. How did this main street develop? By evoking the developments of bygone eras, this original walk will give us a better understanding of the transformations of this small village into the resort we know today.
