Practical training in mountain rescue and medicine
A 3-day course combining mountaineering practice, medical training and introduction to first aid, to help you become more self-sufficient in isolated environments and prepare for remote expeditions or future mountain outings in complete safety.
This course is designed for all those who travel independently (trekkers, mountaineers, long-distance travelers) and want to acquire survival, first-aid and medical prevention reflexes.
On the program: mountain courses (glacier, cliff and mixed terrain progression) and practical workshops in the field, orientation and autonomy (knowing how to orientate yourself and get out of a tricky situation), rescue techniques (re-escaping, rope handling, emergency equipment), mountain medicine (lectures on mountain medicine in refuges), realistic scenarios (training in decision-making in real-life conditions).
The course is supervised by expert doctors and Ifremmont mountain guides.
Prerequisites: Anyone with a good level of physical fitness wishing to discover the world of the high mountains.
From Saturday 19 to Monday 21 September 2026.
