Children ski courses - Intermediate - Evolution 2

GET YOUR SPATULAS, OUR SKI AREAS ARE WAITING FOR YOU! We offer 4 intermediate ski courses to see your child evolve at his/her own pace, according to his/her level. ➕ Our plus: our courses are limited to 8 children maximum!

YETI 1 COURSE

With this ski course, your child will strengthen his or her technique and ease on the snowy slopes. Now comfortable with the basics of skiing, your little champion will become a pro at making turns with the help of our seasoned and knowledgeable professionals.

- Level : to have acquired the " Little Yeti " level (or equivalent, flocon), that is to say : to get up by yourself after a fall, to know how to use the ski lifts, to master the snowplough turns with parallel ski crossing on green slopes.
- Learning : Step turn on a gentle slope, skating step, direct track across the slope (with edge grip), control of attitude and balance with poles, snowplow turn and finish with a "sudden" skid on a green slope.
- Location: the meeting point will be at the Panda Club * (details at the bottom of the page) in Argentière, at the foot of the Plan Joran ski lift. Then the children will go to the beginners' area of Les Chosalets (5min walk from the Panda Club).

YETI 2 COURSE

Evolution 2 Chamonix instructors will teach your child to become a real skier by adopting the right position, mastering skids, working on parallel turns on blue runs and many other pleasures! In short, it's all about fun and sliding...

- Level : to have acquired the level " 1er Yeti " (or equivalent, 1st star), that is to say : to master the skater's step, to link elementary skidded turns, to make direct tracks across the slope with edge hold.
- Learning : Rounded skid and slant skid, direct track on varied terrain with overcoming of hollows and bumps, control of the general attitude on skis (position of the hands, poles, knees on the front), parallel turn on blue slope.
- Location: the meeting point will be at the Panda Club* in Argentière, at the foot of the Plan Joran ski lift.
After having validated the level of the group, the children will go on the ski slopes of the Grands Montets domain, accompanied by an instructor, for the course.

YETI 3 COURSE

Now the green and blue slopes are "too easy"! So let your budding skier enjoy this ski course where he or she will continue to learn different techniques, but always in a fun way with our passionate ski instructors!

- Level : to have acquired the " 2nd Yeti " level (or equivalent, 2nd star), that is to say : to master parallel turns on blue runs.
- Learning : Direct line and brake skid, use of vertical movement to start turns, sculling on red slopes, mastery of the general attitude on the front, mastery of parallel turns with the use of poles on red slopes.
- Location: same as Yeti 2 course

SUPER YETI COURSE

Your child goes everywhere on the slopes, he asks you "when are we going to ski again? Make him happy and sign him up for this "Super Yeti" course. During this week, he will perfect his technique and will even be introduced to freestyle in a secure snowpark! The only risk for you...that he will ask for more!

- Level : to have acquired the " 3rd Yeti " level (or equivalent, 3rd star), that is to say : mastery of the sculling and the parallel turn on the red runs.
- Learning: Perfecting all types of turns on black runs, brake turns, introduction to carving, varied courses, introduction to freestyle in a secure snowpark.

INFORMATION COMMON TO ALL 4 COURSES :

- Lunch: it is possible to have lunch on the spot for children in morning courses (outside school periods), or full days. Please consult the details in the additional information at the bottom of the page.
- Number of participants: 4 to 8 children maximum per instructor. If the minimum of 4 is not reached, the level cannot be created. You will be informed 48 hours before the course.


GOOD PLACE: you want to enjoy the mountain outside school vacations? Think of the Winter Games which will welcome your children for a full day: skiing in the morning and then play activities. The serenity of parents for the fun of children!
