Among the French towns bordering Lake Geneva, Thonon-les-Bains has many monuments. The town thus has no less than six castles, more or less well preserved. The two most beautiful are undoubtedly the castle of Ripailles and the castle of Sonnaz.

The spa town of Evian-les-Bains is also of great tourist interest. Among its historical monuments are the Lumière villa, former property of the Lumière Brothers and the Lumière palace, a major exhibition center and former spa center of the city.

Finally, the fortified village of Yvoires, also called "the pearl of Lake Geneva", is one of the most beautiful villages in France. Through the steep and flowery alleys you can admire the
old stone houses and the 13th century castle built on the banks of the lake.
