Le Dard waterfall

in Chamonix-Mont-Blanc
Presentation

Le Dard is a superb waterfall towering 20 meters high at an altitude of 1,233 meters. It offers a beautiful viewpoint about 45 minutes from the centre of Chamonix. View over the Aiguilles Rouges range, the Les Bossons glacier and Mont-Blanc.

From Le Grepon car park in Chamonix, turn right on the "Chemin à Batioret » path that leads to the Fabrique des Sonnettes Devouassoud bell workshop by Route Blanche. Cross the footbridge over the torrent and climb up towards Les Molliasses. Ignore the forest track on the left, and turn right as far as the Tunnel access road. Follow it for 50 meters or so then head left along the short cut for a short distance. Continue uphill through the woods, ignoring the path on the right that comes from Les Pélerins. Take the footbridge over the Dard stream and carry on up to the chalet.
