With the presence of Matthieu TORDEUR: Adventurer, lecturer, author and film-maker, member of the Society of French Explorers, Matthieu Tordeur has reached the South Pole on skis, solo and unassisted, crossed Greenland by kite-ski with glaciologist Heïdi Sevestre as part of a scientific expedition, and sailed across the Atlantic.

Matthieu TORDEUR: Adventurer, lecturer, author and film-maker, member of the Society of French Explorers, Matthieu Tordeur has reached the South Pole on skis, solo and unassisted, crossed Greenland in kite-ski with glaciologist Heïdi Sevestre as part of a scientific expedition, and sailed across the Atlantic.

Matthieu Tordeur is a record-breaking professional adventurer and motivational speaker. His expeditions are dedicated to raising awareness and supporting environmental issues at the forefront of climate change.
He is the first Frenchman and, in 2019, the youngest person in the world to have reached the South Pole on skis, solo and unassisted. He has cycled across Europe, Africa and Asia, run 6 consecutive marathons in the Sahara, crossed the Atlantic in a sailboat, kite-skied from south to north across Greenland, and circumnavigated the globe in a 30-year-old Renault 4L to promote microfinance.
Matthieu is a board member of French climate awareness NGOs such as L'École des Pôles - Témoins Polaires and the Paul-Émile Victor Endowment Fund. He is the author of two books and has produced five TV documentaries about his adventures.
Matthieu is doing us the immense honor of inaugurating this series of lecture-projections organized in Chamonix Mont-Blanc.
