Set off on a hike very early in the morning to admire the exceptional beauty of nature during the black grouse display. Explore the mountain landscapes of the Chamonix Valley and the Mont Blanc Massif, and you’re sure to witness a magnificent sunrise.

May is the perfect time to watch black grouse displays. Armed with our binoculars, we’ll set off to witness this breathtaking spectacle. We’ll set off at dawn to capture that magical, fleeting moment that lasts just a few hours. Make the most of the descent to ease yourself back into the reality of life down below.

Duration: 5 hours total (times given as a guide). Approximately 4 to 5 hours' walking

Location: In and around the Chamonix valley

Level: An appropriate choice of destination is essential to ensure you get the most out of your outing.
Day hikes are designed for physically active people capable of walking for several hours at a time.
