Hopitaux du Mont-Blanc - Chamonix
The Chamonix emergency department is only open during the day, when tourism is at its peak in winter and summer (8am to 8pm). Outside these periods and at night, you will be referred to the Sallanches emergency department.
The medical services provided are multifaceted (adults, children, psychiatry, etc.). However, this care is strongly characterized by a specialization in mountain trauma (more than 84% of emergency care at the Chamonix site) and high-altitude conditions (frostbite, hypothermia, acute mountain sickness, etc.).
The order of treatment depends on the severity of the cases.
The Chamonix site includes 3 treatment rooms, 2 resuscitation rooms (or critical care rooms), and a medical imaging room
Outpatient consultations in sports medicine, pediatrics, and trauma are also available at the Chamonix site.
