Warning! As is the case every year, the amount of snow that accumulates in the mountains during the winter makes it unsafe to hike at certain altitudes until the end of June.
For more information on changes in trail access conditions, as well as trail closures and other work in the mountains, please check the mountain conditions news feed or contact La Chamoniarde before setting out on any hike.

Mont-Blanc express train
From Chamonix, the SNCF line serves all the villages:
- On the French side, as far as St. Gervais-les-Bains and Le Fayet, via Les Bossons, Les Houches, and Servoz.
- On the Swiss side, it goes as far as Martigny via Les Praz, Argentière, and Vallorcine.
The SNCF line from Servoz to Vallorcine is free for holders of the Guest Card, which is provided by your accommodation provider upon arrival.
