The theme of the 2025 temporary exhibition is: "Life in Barberine over the centuries".
In the early 18th century, Barberine was home to 9 farming families. We know the houses, the land, the bread oven and the mill. In the 19th century, the waterfall attracted the first tourists. In 1852, a hotel was built, followed by a school to prevent avalanches on the way to the main town... When Barberine became part of France in 1860, roads, trains and the Emosson dam arrived...
