Conférence : Mieux comprendre les enjeux de l'eau en montagne - Fête de la Science
Join Juliette Becquet, PhD in hydroecology, for a fascinating talk on the current challenges facing Alpine rivers and the unique biodiversity they harbor.
What are the challenges facing our Alpine rivers and the unique biodiversity they harbor?
Join Juliette Becquet, PhD in hydroecology, for a fascinating talk on the current challenges facing Alpine rivers and the unique biodiversity they harbor.
Committed to making science accessible to as many people as possible, Juliette will introduce the environmental characteristics that govern these environments, as well as the challenges they face today, notably the effects of climate change and water withdrawals linked to human activities in the mountains.
Juliette will also present her research work, which aims to develop tools for assessing and mitigating these impacts on alpine rivers. Using a technical and popularized approach, she will plunge you into the workings of scientific research and the workings of the IPCC, which provide citizens and decision-makers alike with the essential keys to making tomorrow's choices.
