How to get here ?

Chamonix is near Geneva international airport (in Switzerland), to which it is connected by an expressway. The Mont Blanc Tunnel provides direct access from Italy.
Located at the foot of Mont Blanc en France, Chamonix is easy to reach by train, car and aeroplane.
Geneva, Lyon and Milan airports are respectively 1 and 2 hours from Chamonix.
There are regular trains to Chamonix from Paris, Lyon, Annecy, Bellegarde, Geneva and Martigny.

From Chamonix, the SNCF line serves all the villages:

  • On the French side, as far as St. Gervais-les-Bains and Le Fayet, via Les Bossons, Les Houches, and Servoz.
  • On the Swiss side, it goes as far as Martigny via Les Praz, Argentière, and Vallorcine.

The SNCF line from Servoz to Vallorcine is free for holders of the Guest Card, which is provided by your accommodation provider upon arrival.
