How to get here ?
Chamonix is near Geneva international airport (in Switzerland), to which it is connected by an expressway. The Mont Blanc Tunnel provides direct access from Italy.
Located at the foot of Mont Blanc en France, Chamonix is easy to reach by train, car and aeroplane.
Geneva, Lyon and Milan airports are respectively 1 and 2 hours from Chamonix.
There are regular trains to Chamonix from Paris, Lyon, Annecy, Bellegarde, Geneva and Martigny.

- Winter: new direct Skibus routes to ski lifts from December 21, 2024:
- Ski 1 Direct: Chamonix <> Prarion <> Chamonix <> Praz -Flégère
- Ski 2 Direct: Chamonix <> Les Grands Montets
- Ski 3 Direct: Chamonix <> Le Tour
- Ski 12: Les Iles > Argentière > Montroc > Le Tour (only during the 6 weeks of school vacations).
- Ski 13: Les Houches Plaine Saint-Jean <> Les Houches Le Prarion
- Ski 14: Chx Le Brévent <> Chx Le Grépon / Les Planards
- Ski 15: Chamonix > Les Grands Montet > Le Tour / by omnibus
- Ski 16: Les Houches Le Prarion <> Chx Les Montquarts
- Ski 17: Chx Le Brévent <> Chx Les Praz/Flégère (only during the 6-week school vacations)
- New Proxibus routes to serve the valley's various hamlets.
- A bus service that starts earlier in the morning and ends later at night.

Mont-Blanc express train
From Chamonix, the SNCF line serves all the villages:
- French side to St Gervais les Bains - le Fayet via Les Bossons, Les Houches and Servoz.
- Swiss side to Martigny via Les Praz, Argentière and Vallorcine.
The SNCF line from Servoz to Vallorcine is free for holders of the Carte d'Hôte, given to you on arrival by your accommodation provider.
