Ski lifts: environment and innovations

Concerned about being exemplary, the Compagnie du Mont-Blanc is one of the leading ski lift companies in France.

It is also involved in various continuous improvement initiatives, and is the only company managing ski areas and ski lifts in France to be quadruple certified on 4 standards.

The company has just obtained the renewal of the certification of these 7 sites in 2022 according to 4 standards:

• Quality: ISO 9001
• Occupational Health and Safety: ISO 45001
• Environment: ISO 14001
• Energy: ISO 50001 

Focus on ISO 50001 certification:

- Installation of sub-meters for precise knowledge of the various uses (consumption of heating, ski lifts, artificial snow production, etc.)
- Deployment of an energy saving plan (modernisation of the lighting system, replacement of equipment, etc.)   
- Exploration and implementation of innovative solutions (HVO fuel, hybrid snow groomer, etc.)
